The fear of the Lord: we are told it is the beginning of wisdom…what is it?

When we come into God’s presence there is no more pretending for He sees us as we are, he sees but we also see ourselves in His light…there is no hiding, the naked truth where there are no disguises, no excuses, we see our motives, our hidden thoughts and reasonings, our choices…no one to hide behind…you face God alone and you are filled with the fear of God…not because of terror but because your motives, thoughts and actions are stripped bare before the one who knows and sees ALL things … you stand before the one who loves you most and you have no defences, nothing to hide behind…and it is in that love that loves you just the way you are that you are filled with the fear of never wanting to grieve His heart…such love! That knows all things, that sees all things, that died to take the sin, the pain, the sorrow, the broken heart, the filthiness that lies hidden inside but only He and I know really exists… to bear all before Him and know He loves me still… fills me with the fear of such an awesome God! Every other faith is about what you must do to earn eternity…Christ did it all and bids me come… into His arms…the God of second chances…for I cost Him all and He thought I was worth it!
