To know Truth

Apr 26 in The Word

“Behold, Thou dost desire truth in my innermost being and in the hidden part Thou wilt make me know wisdom”

Who is guiding and influencing my walk and my direction?  Am I allowing God to have His way?  Who is influencing my steps?

‘The essential character of an action lies in the motive of him who works it’  Charles Spurgeon

Eternal life is a relationship with God NOW!

To know God : John 17:3 ” This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”

As we come to know Him, we begin to look at things through His eyes and begin to look to Him for the wisdom and discernment to deal with the circumstances that surround and affect our daily lives.

As we fill ourselves with His Word we will speak God’s wisdom into situations and lives of the people surrounding us without even realizing it.  It is His trail we begin to leave behind.

He desires truth in our inmost being, wisdom in our hidden parts” His WORD.

Jesus Is the Truth, He walked in Spirit and in Truth.

Our souls are saturated by the world surrounding us, we are constantly fed information via TV, the media, the internet but our souls are barely soaking in the Word of God.  Romans 12:2 warns us to not let the world squeeze us into its mould … “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”  The world around us constantly tries to fill our lives with so much that seems important or essential, but these things begin to crowd our lives so that we don’t have time for the things of God.  We then give God the leftover time, instead of making Him our priority and giving Him the first portion of our time; then wonder why we don’t hear Him!  “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God”.  We need to be filled up on His Word.

Christ in me the hope of Glory” Col 1:26-27

To lay hold of all that He has for us, He has hidden treasures that we need to dig up.

1 Corinthians 2:9-13 “but just as it is written, ‘things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him’ For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.”

To spend time in His Word helps lay hold of Him.  It broadens our revelation and understanding of God, builds our faith, our hearts connect with God as we draw near to Him.

We need to realign our thinking – including the thoughts of our heart – that our very thinking be transformed.

To know God.
