Who am I? Who does God say that I Am? My true Identity.

Jun 20 in General

How do I see myself?  Do I feel that I’m not good enough, not able, too weak?  Maybe I feel fearful, that I’ve missed my opportunity, too ashamed, not worthy or forgotten.  Or I’ve given up the fight for I’m just not strong enough, not wise enough?  Feel too alone, too powerless, too stressed, weary and tired.  The forces against me so strong … who whispers those things to my soul?.

I either stand in who the enemy wants me to believe I am, or I stand in how God sees me and in the authority that He has given me to impact my life and the lives of others.

Corrie Ten Boom said: ‘Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible, receives the impossible’ “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen but on what is unseen” and speak into being that which God has said.  I speak healing and repair the breaches in my marriage, I speak that my seed shall possess the gates of their enemies, I speak life where there is death and love where there is hatred, healing where there is pain and suffering.  He has a ‘rhema’ Word for every and any situation I find myself facing. To begin to bring change by standing on His Word and speaking into situations, environments and circumstances because I live by faith and not by sight and choose that despite it all I will shine His light.  Not believing the lies. Taking that which is heavenly and bringing it to birth upon the earth.  Who’s report am I going to believe?

The enemy wants us defeated, disheartened, overwhelmed and inactive for the Kingdom of God; cowering away, powerless to make any difference to our surroundings.  “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done!” in my home, my life, my family, my community, my school, my work environment, my nation….

It is time we begin to stand, stand in our identity in Christ and walk in the assurance of His love and power to deliver and intervene.  It was J.Hudson Taylor who said: ‘to move man through God by prayer alone’

Who does God say that I am?

Therefore, confessing my sins, forgiving any grievances, putting on Christ (His armour), I stand on His Word and believe by faith that He is able.
